A Selection Committee comprised of 5 Industry Professional will select the 2009 New Media Fellow from the 10 Finalists.

Doug Kirkpatrick – Entertainment Attorney and Founder of OurTvSpace, LLC – a new digital network whose mission is to develop and distribute new media programming worldwide. Kirkpatrick has represented both public and private corporate and entertainment clients for the past twenty years, and assisted in sophisticated entertainment and corporate transactions, including film finance and productions. He represented the Producers of the feature film “Napoleon Dynamite” in connection with their development, production and distribution deal for their project “Beneath” with MTV and Paramount Classics which has been released to DVD. Doug completed a $500,000 DVD distribution arrangement for two DVD projects, featuring the NBA star, Baron Davis, with songs by Game, and another children’s project with Gwyneth Paltrow as narrator based on a children’s book published by Random House/UK. Kirkpatrick also represented the Producers of “Be Still,” a DVD project involving contemplative prayer and, in addition to doing the production work, negotiated their acquisition and distribution arrangement with Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment. Mr. Kirkpatrick also completed the legal work for a production project with Paramount, involving the exercise regimen “Boneco Capoeira”. in connection with their development, production and distribution deal involving their film “Beneath” with MTV and Paramount Classics which has recently been released to DVD. Kirkpatrick also represents Plymouth Rock Studios, an initiative to bring a multi-million dollar state of the art motion picture and television studio to Massachusetts.
Brandon Martinez – New Media Agent in the New Media/ Alternative Programming Department at Abrams Artists Agency. Brandon is an inaugural member of the International Academy of Web Television, the voting body for The Streamy Awards. Marc Hustvedt, Co-founder and Editor of Tubefilter - the leading authority in episodic web television which is headquartered in Los Angeles. Marc is an entrepreneur, investor, writer, speaker and web TV producer and Co-Founder of the International Academy of Web Television.
Scott Anderson - heads the Harvard Square Scriptwriters, which was founded in 1986 as a group of writers working outside the studios and networks to provide the highest quality literary material possible by providing assistance to writers to help develop their craft and perfect their vision. From its beginnings as a group of ten men and women gathered around an oval table in Harvard University’s Guttmann Library, Harvard Square Scriptwriters has been dedicated to helping writers nurture, develop, and refine not only individual scripts, but their talents and skills as well. Members have included Emmy, Toby, and Ace award winners, journalists, novelists, Harvard professors, doctors, lawyers, and writers from all walks of life.
Adam Campbell – is a writer living in Western Massachusetts after living in California. Adam has won many screenwriting awards, including the coveted “Chesterfield” award (Chesterfield Production Company) in two separate years which resulted in a fellowship with Amblin Entertainment - Steven Spielberg’s company. Adam was also a quarter finalist in the distinguished “Nicholl Fellowship” sponsored by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. Adam’s screenplay entitled “Wind and Shadows” was optioned by the Chesterfield Film Company and by producer Mark Marshall (Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone). Adam’s teleplay “Honey We’re Young at Heart” was produced as an episode of “Walt Disney’s Honey I Shrunk the Kids: The TV Show,” and airs on the Disney Channel. Adam is the Head Writer of “Oldbury Hill” – an episodic web series on OurTvSpace.com.
